Again, to remind, this plan is based on the supreme value-creating process that: Everyone already helps themselves by far the most, overall, by simply helping other people the most they can afford to, physically, mentally, and emotionally, non-stop, 24/7, given their situation. But the vast majority of people do not yet do that nearly fully consciously and effectively. This plan's purpose is to fix that problem.
Developing This Plan
This project grew out of my conversations in the 1990s with University of Texas Math professor and researcher, Woody Bledsoe, “one of the founders of artificial intelligence” (Wikipedia). He was an early AI organizer and he created some of the first pattern recognition software, and in the 1970s, automated facial recognition tools. Toward the end of his life, I was his closest aide for two years in volunteer work.
Woody and I agreed that there appeared to be one most profitable and rewarding language and behavior pattern (the process at the top of this page) that everyone uses non-stop 24/7, just not nearly fully consciously, and thus not nearly fully effectively.
Woody and I saw that process as central to all major belief systems and religions, all successful business, relationships, peace, and prosperity, and ultimately robust economies. We also saw it as vastly underappreciated and thus vastly underutilized in the world. And we realized one of the main obstacles was that people could see it in themselves, but not others - which later I came to recognize as one of the 100+ "cognitive biases" that made people resistant to not only many of the ideas on this website, but plain simple, easily-verifiable truths. See MORE DETAILS ON THE PLAN and THE BIG OBSTACLES in the menu above.
After Woody died, I tested descriptions of this language and behavior pattern with a small self-published book, The Best Idea, to global thought leaders. Its main points were that that process 1) is central to all major belief systems, and it documented that evidence extensively, and 2) that everyone employs that process the best they can, given their situation. I got a lot of great feedback. And pushback. - For all the reasons in the menu items cited in the previous paragraph.
Unfortunately, the main resistance to the book's main idea - i.e. that everyone helps others the most they can afford to, given their situation - was expressed in the most common comment, “Wouldn’t it be great if everyone lived that way?” - While, again, the book’s main point was that everyone DOES live that way, the best they can afford to, given their situation. And to the extent we commonly acknowledge that, as a world, the more effective we will be at it, to ultimately have universal peace and prosperity.
In subsequent years, especially in personality-based teamwork and relationship skills workshop games I led, I received many great insights about people's views of that process, and especially their biases against seeing everyone as employing it the best they can, given their situation. And in that time and subsequently, I field-tested hundreds of prototypes of language to address those biases, as well as to describe the many ramifications of all the foregoing. Again, for more details about that see ABOUT and THE BIG OBSTACLES.
I hope you find all of this useful.
About Me
I have a BS in Advertising from The University of Texas. I was a local, regional, and national “serial entrepreneur” in the horticultural, automotive, investments, mortgages, commercial construction marketing, and personal training fields.
To help me develop this concept, from 2019 to 2023 I attended UT’s School of Social Work and School of Design and Creative Technologies.
This initial phase of getting this project launched is still just a one-man effort. I am putting it out in this form to see what kind of "legs" this concept might have mostly just by itself with this website, without working to create an organization to drive it forward. In deploying a successful national marketing campaign, and I have found this approach allows the concept to "build its own muscle." So far, everyone I show it to loves it, including some very smart people.
I appreciate your interest in this project and welcome any questions, feedback, and suggestions you have about it or about me. I need all the help I can get !

The Plan, above, in the menu, is based on this observation: Everyone helps themselves by far the most, overall, by simply helping other people the most they feel they can afford to, physically, mentally, and emotionally. - At the very least by simply not bothering the vast majority of everyone in the world. And everyone does that in some way, non-stop, 24/7. But humanity has so far mostly wasted that world's-by-far-most value-creating-process by NOT promoting it above all else, mostly due to cognitive bias. This plan is designed to fix that problem in the fastest, easiest, free way possible. - Tim Mossman Copyright © 2024 Helpaboveall.org
